Commercials with Boston’s star athlete will begin at the start of the 2017 post season and will feature a brand new menu item

PLAINVILLE, MA (APRIL 6, 2017) – He’s the most wanted face in professional basketball, and Honey Dew Donuts® has him. The local donut chain announced today they have signed an endorsement deal with all-star point guard Isaiah Thomas of Boston’s professional basketball team.  Starting with the 2016-17 postseason, Honey Dew Donuts will feature Thomas in the brand’s advertising, continuing through the 2017-18 regular and post seasons.

Thomas’ first commercial will feature Honey Dew’s NEW Triple Double Breakfast Sandwich. The made-to-order sandwich is three pieces of cinnamon French toast, layered with two eggs, two pieces of cheese, bacon and sausage. In the commercial, Thomas will be telling viewers they can get a “triple double,” a clever play on the basketball term, every day at Honey Dew Donuts® with this new sandwich.

Commercials featuring Thomas and the Triple Double Sandwich will be put into rotation on local and cable television, as well as radio and digital advertisement starting April 17.
